At Melton Uniting Church, our Open Groups are vital part of both our personal and corporate walk with God.
The model from Jesus’ life with the twelve disciples, and the early church shows the importance of small groups; they are where we come together in a relaxed atmosphere of hospitality and acceptance to explore our own unique path in connecting with God, growing as a disciple of Christ and connecting with His people.
The greatest gift we have to offer God and one another is ourselves and we can only give this gift by spending time with Him and giving our time to be with one another.
Through our Open Groups we are also able explore ways to serve as the Body of Christ within our immediate church, our local community, and beyond.
Dallas Willard has said about the Christian life:
"Personalities united can contain more of God and sustain the force of His greater presence better than scattered individuals.”
Melton Uniting Church Open Groups Ministry offers a variety of groups encompassing different needs and interests. They meet in homes or at the church and new members are always warmly welcomed.
Open Groups Ministry also welcome, encourage and support the formation of new and special needs groups.
The following pages contain information on our current Open Groups. Please feel free to contact the group leader if you would like more information on an individual group.
